HELISKIING ABOVE POLAR CIRCLE

Arrival day - we pick you at the airport on the arrival day, drive you to Nikkaluokta with a possible stop at the supermarket. After arrival at Nikka you will be taken to your room and handed all necessary material, enjoy a welcome dinner and after a short briefing  and team introduction everyone (hopefully) goes to sleep.

 

Second day - our guides will take you through avalanche crash course and helicopter training, hand out your freeride skis and as soon as the weather is ready, we get on and start your heli ski adventure. There will be two groups rotating on the same helicopter in order to make things more efficient. 45 min lunch break will take place after a few hours of riding where hot drinks and heli lunch will be served. More riding after lunch until you or your guide decide to fly back.

 

Last day - there is no skiing on the departure day unless late departure.

• accommodation for 5 nights in double rooms directly in the heli base. Common kitchen, bathrooms and a sauna.

• full board by a private chef (only first 3 dates)

• 3 hours of heli egine runnunig time per group (approx 10.000 vertical meters of skiing)

• airport pickup and drop off

• freeride/touring skis and poles rental

• avalanche bags rental

• sauna

 

Extra costs: 

• plane ticket to and from Kiruna

• extra heli time (7000,- SEK/hr/p.p. with full helicopter)

Downday activities:

In case of bad weather there are following options:

• Ice fishing – fishing on a frozen lake close to Nikkaluokta is a unique Lapland experience (included)

• Ski tour and ice climbing - we have an incredibly beautiful and easy ice fall approx 45min on skins from where we tow you with our snowmobile. (ice climbing and ski touring gear as well as the program is included)

• Jukasjarvi Ice Hotel - is a world famous ice hotel located close to Kiruna approx one hour drive from Nikkaluokta. There is an admission fee to go on the hotel tour.

• Our snowmobile can also make access to the mountains and lakes easier on the downdays.
